Microsoft Looking for New Project Gotham Racing Studio
Microsoft is reportedly in "surreptitious talks" with some European studios about bringing back the Project Gotham Racing franchise happening the Xbox 360.
The Project Gotham Racing series has fallen into disuse since developer Bizarre Creations was noninheritable by Activision in September 2007, just few weeks before the release of Project Gotham Racing 4, its last game for Microsoft. But IT may soon make a comeback, if an anonymous insider is to be believed.
A "trusted beginning" told Recrudesce that Microsoft is currently in talks with several European commutative studios about renewing the series. As far back as Crataegus oxycantha 2008, former Microsoft Game Studios head Shane Kim suggested that PGR would likely return at extraordinary point, adding that Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10 Studios, which is owned by Microsoft, would be a good candidate to take over the serial. At once, however, it appears that the publisher wants the game set back back in the hands of an independent.
